Pay the application fee online
Pay ₦15,000 (32-page, 10-year validity) or ₦20,000 (64-page, 10-year validity) via Remita on the NIS portal. Save your payment receipt number — required for appointment booking.
Book an appointment at a passport office
After payment, book an appointment at the nearest NIS State Command Passport Office. Appointment availability varies. Book as early as possible. Arrive 15 minutes before your appointment with all original documents.
Biometric capture and collection
At the passport office: biometrics (fingerprints and photo) are captured. Your passport is produced at the Central Passport Production Centre and delivered to the passport office or your address (via speed post for additional fee). Collect within 6–8 weeks.
