How to Register for KRA iTax and Get a PIN in Kenya
Get your KRA Personal Identification Number online – required for employment, banking, and business.
What You Need
- National ID card (Kenyan citizens) or Passport (foreigners)
- Active email address
- Active Kenyan phone number
Step 1: Go to Official iTax Portal
Visit itax.kra.go.ke (watch for fake sites!)
Step 2: Click “New PIN Registration”
Select “Individual” for personal PINs.
Step 3: Fill the Form
Enter your ID number, name, date of birth, email, phone, and address.
Step 4: Submit and Receive PIN
Your PIN is generated instantly (e.g. A001234567B). Save it immediately.
